The outer Himalayan foothills in the Eastern Region of Nepal are a critical landscape that requires conservation as they are a crucial corridor of migratory wild Asian elephants. At the same time, the region is also the country's most populated region, making it prone to frequent human-elephant conflicts. With financial support from Dierenpark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund, the Netherlands, we aim to reduce human-elephant conflict and promote their coexistence.
